Commvault is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for Sales Planning & Incentive Systems to drive innovation and operational excellence across systems supporting sales compensation and planning. This role operates within an AI-driven delivery model, transforming the function from reactive requirement-taking into strategic facilitation and value-stream orchestration.
You will serve as the Technical Product Owner for Varicent Incentive Compensation Management (ICM), Designer model, and oversee ELT data integration supporting both ICM and Sales Planning. Key responsibilities include owning end-to-end system capabilities including compensation plan configuration, calculation and payout logic, sales planning, territory management, quota planning, and incentive compensation processes.
Your core activities will span intake and requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and functional documentation. You'll translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, reports, dashboards, and analytics products while identifying automation and AI opportunities. You'll design and optimize data transformation and ETL/ELT processes, develop reporting and analytics for Sales Leadership and Finance, and partner with Sales Operations and Finance to interpret compensation plans and translate them into system logic.
Additional responsibilities include data validation, reconciliation, root-cause analysis, and audit support; testing, releases, and production support; owning ICM data pipeline integrity; building Presenter Reports for compensation reporting and dashboards; and delivering earnings transparency tools such as statements and drill-through reporting.
You'll maintain expertise across Varicent Designer, ELT, Presenter Reports, and Sales Planning modules, evaluate new Varicent enhancements, and work within global, geographically distributed teams collaborating with Sales Operations, Finance, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders.
