CesiumAstro develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. The company operates in a dynamic, cross-functional startup environment focused on pioneering space technology.
As a Business Systems Analyst II, you will drive process improvement and operational excellence across new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing, and supply chain operations. You will serve as the primary process improvement resource, working closely with engineering, program management, and supply chain teams to industrialize processes for space products at commercial scale.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as the primary process improvement resource across assigned transformation workstreams
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and independent research to understand current processes and identify gaps
- Perform analyses (SQL queries and other methods) to identify issues and opportunities, with actionable recommendations
- Integrate across all business levels to understand workflows and identify systematic gaps that quantifiably improve outcomes
- Create process documentation and process maps
- Identify process breakdowns and recommend efficiency and effectiveness improvements
- Train internal users, external technical teams, and leaders on dashboard, API, and tool usage; provide troubleshooting support
- Ensure redesigned processes deliver seamless experiences for all stakeholders by minimizing inefficiencies
- Leverage technology and automation to further improve processes
- Improve data capture for future account management use cases by identifying front-end requirements and collaborating with software development teams on data structure
Your work will have direct impact on company success, combining the rigor of aerospace with the scale of commercial electronics manufacturing.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Minimum 2–5 years of applicable experience
- Experience with change management, EIA-649, nonconformance documentation, root cause analysis, corrective action systems, and acceptance criteria
- Experience with cost analysis, supplier management, and configuration management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in aerospace or other high-reliability industries
- Proficiency with PLM and ERP software
- Proficiency in AS9100/ISO9001 quality management system requirements
- Proficiency in lean manufacturing methodologies
- Experience successfully managing multiple high-priority tasks
- Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills in matrixed environments with cross-functional teams
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy standards
- Knowledge of business structure and stakeholder analysis
