Salary: USD 150,000 - 220,000 / annual

The company simplifies fintech banking by eliminating the complex patchwork of traditional banking infrastructure, offering builders and developers a technology-forward alternative that reduces costs and complexity.
As a Business Operations Manager, you will be a core member of Column's Business Operations team, responsible for designing and executing the company's most critical strategic and operational initiatives. You will serve as the "GM" of key products or projects, working directly with senior leadership to architect the operating systems that enable Column's next phase of growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning strategy and operations for critical scaling initiatives
- Identifying bottlenecks to growth and designing products and workflows to remove them
- Making build-vs-buy decisions for new tools and systems that drive automation and scale
- Spending significant time on-site with operators to understand workflows firsthand and translate insights into product and operational decisions
- Driving end-to-end execution, managing timelines, alignment, and accountability across teams
This role is based in Column's San Francisco office (Presidio location) with substantial travel throughout the United States. Expect to be on the road 50%+ of the time, often embedded on-site for 2–4 week stretches.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in strategy and business operations in high-growth environments
- Prior experience at a top-tier management consulting firm strongly preferred
- Ability to quickly assess new situations and architect scalable solutions
- Demonstrated experience influencing and managing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills; ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects
- Scrappy, hands-on mindset with zero ego about rolling up sleeves to build the business
- Familiarity with banking and fintech industries preferred; genuine interest in becoming an expert in this space is essential
