Superhuman (formerly Grammarly, now part of Superhuman) is seeking a Business Operations Lead to partner with one of its Business Units' leadership team to drive strategic clarity, operational alignment, and execution. The company is an AI productivity platform with over 40 million users, offering writing assistance, collaborative workspaces, inbox management, and proactive AI agents integrated across 1 million+ applications.
In this role, you will sit at the intersection of strategy, operations, and cross-functional execution. You'll report into the Strategy & Operations organization with a dotted-line relationship to your Business Unit, positioning you as a permanent operational partner rather than a project manager. Your core responsibilities include:
• Partnering with the Business Unit's EPDM (Engineering, Product, Design, Marketing) leadership team to translate strategy into clear priorities, decisions, and execution plans, with the Product leader as the primary point of contact.
• Running team-level planning, goal-setting, business reviews, and performance tracking aligned with company-wide planning cycles, freeing leaders to focus on decision-making.
• Taking dedicated ownership of the Business Unit's most complex, cross-functional initiatives to ensure key efforts have clear ownership and momentum.
• Building operating rhythms, cadences, documentation, and tooling so the team operates efficiently without rebuilding infrastructure each quarter.
• Representing your leaders in cross-company forums, meetings, and escalation paths as a trusted delegate, not just a coordinator.
• Partnering across the company with other Business Units, Route-to-Market teams, and functional experts to amplify organizational impact.
• Facilitating information flow up, across, and down the organization to enable fast, informed decision-making in a matrixed, multi-product environment.
• Driving operational readiness for new products, integrations, and cross-functional launches by coordinating planning and enablement.
• Independently driving day-to-day initiatives while scoping and partnering with the broader Strategy & Operations team for support on key motions.
Example impact areas include establishing clear operating cadences and governance models, owning complex initiatives like cross-functional launches or acquisition integrations, and defining success metrics that link operational outcomes to company goals.
Superhuman offers a hybrid working model with flexibility for focus time and in-person collaboration. The company provides comprehensive support including professional development, a connected team culture with employee resource groups, and for Germany-based candidates, competitive pay, life care benefits (including mental health), wellness stipends, home office setup support, and learning opportunities. Relocation support is available, including visa assistance and a relocation bonus.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience operating at the intersection of strategy, operations, and cross-functional execution, particularly in complex go-to-market or enterprise growth environments.
• Strong track record partnering with senior leaders across EPDM, GTM, Revenue, Sales, Finance, and Data to align priorities and execute strategy.
• Proven skill in building operating cadences, governance models, planning rhythms, and decision-making processes that improve clarity, accountability, and speed.
• Ability to lead through influence in a matrixed, multi-product organization, acting as a connective operator across teams and business units.
• Comfort owning ambiguous, high-impact initiatives independently, using data-informed judgment to drive readiness, launches, and business performance.
NICE TO HAVE:
• Experience in a matrixed organization.
• Executive presence.
• M&A and acquisition-integration experience.
• Financial acumen.
