Verkada is seeking an AV Engineer to serve as the primary audiovisual support resource for European and United States East Coast offices. This role combines day-to-day operational support with hands-on installation work on major office buildout projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary AV support for European and US East Coast/Central offices, covering room health, troubleshooting, and repair of professional audio systems, video displays, and video-conferencing solutions. Support regional offices remotely from London with periodic on-site visits.
- Provide white-glove AV support for executive requests and high-visibility meetings (All Hands, leadership meetings, product announcements).
- Deploy as core installer on medium and large office buildout projects: rack fabrication, cable termination, device mounting, and final hookup and testing of AV systems.
- Contribute to comprehensive project documentation during builds (as-builts, room records, configuration notes).
- Assist with system commissioning, preventive maintenance, and upgrades of AV hardware across the deployed fleet.
- Perform daily morning room sweeps to confirm conference room health and system readiness.
- Provide timezone overlap support for other offices, partnering with regional AV and IT staff on remote troubleshooting.
- Coordinate on-site with vendors, contractors, and the Workplace Team during projects and day-to-day operations.

Requirements:
- 4+ years of corporate audiovisual experience with significant hands-on installation work.
- Proven install skills: rack building and dressing, cable pulling and termination (Cat6, audio, video), display/camera/speaker mounting, and ability to read and interpret AV drawings and schematics.
- Experience with video conferencing platforms and hardware (Zoom Rooms, Neat, QSC, DTen, or similar).
- Working knowledge of IT networking as it applies to AV systems; Dante or AV-over-IP experience is a plus.
- Q-SYS experience (design, configuration, or commissioning) is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as sole regional resource with self-directed prioritization, clear escalation judgment, and reliable follow-through.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with polish and discretion to support executives; ability to interface with clients, technicians, and contractors.
- Ability to read, generate, and effectively interpret general business and technical documentation.
- CTS and/or CTS-I, Q-SYS, Dante, or other AV industry certifications highly desired (not required).
- Must be on site in London office 5 days per week.
- Willingness to travel to domestic and international locations for office buildout projects and East Coast regional offices; frequent travel expected around project build windows.
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally without restriction.
- Flexible with shift hours including early-morning sweeps and occasional after-hours event support.
- Able to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders and lifts, and perform physical work of AV installation.
- Valid and current driver's license.
