As Business Operations, you will be the operational backbone of Exa's go-to-market engine, supporting the sales, marketing, and customer success teams across all strategic initiatives. Your responsibilities span multiple dimensions of business growth and efficiency.
You will optimize sales and customer success processes by streamlining workflows, improving conversion rates, reducing friction in the customer journey, and enhancing overall team productivity. You'll analyze performance across the business by building dashboards, tracking KPIs, identifying growth opportunities, and providing actionable insights to leadership.
Vendor relationship management falls under your purview—you'll manage partnerships, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with external vendors to support GTM initiatives. You'll create materials to win enterprise customers, including RFP responses, security questionnaires, executive presentations, and custom proposals for large deals.
Revenue operations ownership means maintaining the sales funnel, improving forecast accuracy, and optimizing the CRM and sales stack. You'll drive growth experiments by designing and executing A/B tests, piloting new channels, and iterating on go-to-market strategy. You'll enable sales team success through training materials, competitive intelligence, and tools that help reps close more deals.
Cross-functional coordination is essential—you'll lead GTM projects spanning sales, marketing, customer success, and product teams. You'll also support major sales opportunities by jumping into strategic deals to provide operational support, data analysis, and project coordination.
Ideal candidates bring management consulting experience (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) or investment banking background, or have worked in BizOps roles at successful Series A-C startups, particularly in AI/ML or developer tools. A technical background in engineering, data science, or product management is a plus, as is understanding of AI/ML market dynamics and enterprise software sales cycles.
This is a fully in-person role in San Francisco, reflecting the company's strong belief in in-person culture.
