Airbnb's Chief Business Officer organization is seeking a Business Operations and Growth Lead for Asia, based in Singapore with regular travel across the region. This role sits within the Global Markets team and focuses on driving growth and expansion across Asia's diverse markets—Japan, Korea, India, and Southeast Asia—each at different stages of maturity with distinct competitive, regulatory, and consumer contexts.
You will report to the Senior Business Operations and Growth Lead, Asia, and work closely with country-level Business Operations and Growth Leads across the region, alongside central teams in growth marketing, product, payments, supply, policy, and brand. This is an ownership role in execution and insight, distinct from strategy and central platform-building functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the regional business reporting structure, inputs, and cadence both regionally and globally
- Leading end-to-end operations and delivery of selected regional growth levers, including go-to-market strategy, measurement, and optimization
- Owning the regional cross-functional roadmap across supply, product, payments, policy, brand, and growth marketing, driving accountability through collaboration
- Maintaining the regional competitive view for both guests and hosts, enabling local capabilities for country teams
- Synthesizing data, trends, insights, and analysis into actionable recommendations
- Conducting deep dives into operational and functional topics with FP&A to assess performance
- Driving entity prioritization and coordinating market setup across Asia with legal, tax, finance, and country teams
You will be the connective tissue between country teams, central functions, and regional strategy—owning reporting accuracy, delivery of growth initiatives into market, roadmap accountability, and competitive intelligence.
Requirements:
- 10+ years in business operations, strategy, consulting, or program management, ideally in marketplace, consumer technology, hospitality, or online travel agency (OTA) environments
- Experience managing programs or operations across multiple countries with varying maturity levels and across time zones
- Proven track record building and running business operating cadences for distributed organizations: reporting, business reviews, and follow-through execution
- Exceptional cross-functional orchestration in heavily matrixed organizations, creating clarity where ownership is split across product, growth marketing, payments, supply, and country teams
- Strong operating discipline: cross-workstream roadmaps, launch management, business reviews, executive reporting, and crisp written communication
- Analytical fluency: comfortable with numbers, builds analysis personally, sets consistent measurement standards with analytics and finance partners (Excel and SQL proficiency)
- Thrives in ambiguity with strong bias to action, ownership, and ruthless prioritization
- Fluent written and spoken English; expected in office approximately 3 days per week
Desirable qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with growth levers such as incentives, promotions, coupons, host-funded offers, lifecycle/CRM, or merchandising
- Familiarity with business, economic, and cultural environments across Asia
- Japanese, Korean, or Southeast Asian language skills
