The Funding Options team (acquired by Tide in 2023) operates a multi-award-winning platform connecting SMEs with commercial finance through a panel of 100+ leading lenders. You'll join the Sales Team as a Business Development Specialist, responsible for identifying, qualifying, and nurturing high-potential SME customers for commercial finance solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and qualifying SME leads through inbound and outbound channels
- Engaging prospects via calls, emails, and digital platforms to understand finance needs
- Conducting discovery conversations to assess eligibility and product fit
- Maintaining detailed customer interaction records in Salesforce
- Collaborating with Senior Business Finance Specialists to hand off qualified leads
- Contributing to outreach strategy and conversion process improvements
- Staying current with market trends, products, and lending partners
- Sharing lead quality feedback and insights with sales and marketing teams
Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in lead generation, inside sales, or B2B sales support. Experience in financial services, fintech, or SME lending is strongly preferred. You'll need strong communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, proactive self-starting attitude, and ideally CRM/Salesforce experience. Passion for helping small businesses grow is essential.
