Salary: USD 260,000 - 325,000 / annual
Ripple is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development for Capital Markets to lead institutional adoption of blockchain technology in global capital markets. This role sits at the intersection of blockchain innovation and institutional finance, focusing on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) as a platform for modernizing capital markets infrastructure.
You will spearhead high-impact partnerships with investment banks, asset managers, trading firms, and financial market infrastructure providers. Key responsibilities include developing and executing RippleX's Capital Markets strategy, identifying and pursuing new business development opportunities, leading complex deal negotiations with senior executives at major financial institutions, and collaborating with product, engineering, marketing, and trading teams to develop use cases and achieve product-market fit.
Additionally, you will develop comprehensive business plans and pitches to attract institutional partners, stay current with industry trends in digital asset adoption, and serve as a thought leader representing Ripple at industry events and with key stakeholders.
Required qualifications include 10+ years of capital markets experience with a strong traditional finance background (investment banks, trading firms, asset managers, or market infrastructure providers). You must demonstrate deep understanding of digital assets and blockchain technology applications in institutional finance, a proven track record of developing first-of-a-kind partnerships and closing complex deals, and an established network within capital markets. Strong business development and deal-making skills, ability to rapidly grasp sophisticated technology products, analytical and strategic thinking combined with consultative selling, and experience launching or growing new businesses are essential.
