Salary: USD 58,500 - 61,750 / annual
PagerDuty (NYSE: PD) is seeking a Business Development Representative to join its sales development team in San Francisco. You will report to a Manager of Sales Development and work alongside Account Executives to generate and qualify leads in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
As a BDR, you will be the initial point of contact for target accounts, responsible for outbound prospecting using modern sales techniques. Your focus will be on value selling—highlighting how PagerDuty's AI-first digital operations platform addresses specific customer challenges and drives business transformation. You will engage with practitioners and management-level contacts at enterprise accounts through multiple channels including phone, email, video, and social technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Communicating PagerDuty's business value proposition using the Command of the Message (COM) selling model and solution-selling methodology
- Consistently achieving sales goals while maintaining a track record of success
- Utilizing discovery processes to engage target accounts at multiple levels
- Leveraging tools including Salesforce, Sales Navigator, Gong Engage, and Demandbase to optimize sales activities
- Managing multiple leads and opportunities with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Preparing thoroughly for meetings and presentations, following up to ensure commitments are fulfilled

Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in outbound prospecting
- German fluency (required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple leads and opportunities
- Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced sales environments
- Passion for technology
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior sales development experience
- Experience with Salesforce.com
- BA/BS degree
