The Nuclear Company, a Series A-funded AI-enabled nuclear tech startup, is seeking a Business Development Representative for its TNC Services division, specifically for the Licensing & Regulatory practice. This hands-on role drives new business growth by identifying customer needs, building strategic relationships, and converting regulatory and project challenges into commercial opportunities.
You will originate and advance opportunities from initial identification through contract award, working closely with the Licensing & Regulatory functional leader and technical experts. Key responsibilities include:
**Business Development & Market Growth:**
- Drive new business development across TNC's Professional Services portfolio, with primary focus on Licensing & Regulatory services
- Maintain working knowledge of Professional Services capabilities to identify cross-service opportunities and connect customers with functional experts
- Monitor regulatory developments, licensing activity, policy changes, project milestones, and industry trends to identify emerging customer needs
- Build relationships with utilities, developers, plant operators, reactor vendors, government organizations, and industry partners
- Develop targeted growth strategies for operating plants, new nuclear projects, government programs, and prospective customers
**Pursuit Development & Execution:**
- Originate, qualify, and advance opportunities from initial identification through contract award
- Partner with functional leaders and technical experts to understand customer needs and shape differentiated licensing and regulatory solutions
- Develop pursuit strategies, value propositions, win themes, and customer engagement plans
- Coordinate proposal development, participate in negotiations, and transition awarded work to delivery teams
The ideal candidate brings direct experience in nuclear licensing, regulatory affairs, plant operations, engineering, government, or related fields. You'll operate with an AI-first mindset, leveraging technology and the Nuclear Operating System (NOS) to enhance decision-making and automate workflows.
