Cyvl is a Boston-based tech startup that provides enterprise-grade hardware and software solutions for government infrastructure management. The company uses 3D mapping sensors (LiDAR, imagery, GPS) retrofitted to customer vehicles, combined with AI-powered cloud pipelines, to generate geospatial insights that help municipalities and engineering firms manage transportation infrastructure more efficiently. As a Business Development Representative, you will be the first point of contact for municipalities, Departments of Transportation (DOTs), and civil engineering firms discovering Cyvl's infrastructure intelligence platform. You will drive top-of-funnel growth and directly shape the sales pipeline while accelerating expansion into new markets across the country. Key responsibilities include: - Identifying and researching potential leads across municipalities, DOTs, and civil engineering firms to build a robust prospect pipeline - Managing outbound communications via email, phone, and LinkedIn, and executing multi-channel lead generation campaigns - Qualifying both inbound and outbound leads, scheduling discovery calls and demos, and handing off qualified opportunities to the sales team - Building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective clients while tracking all activity and progress in CRM tools This is a full-time, on-site position at the Somerville, MA headquarters, starting ASAP. The role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives on connecting with new people and opening doors, with a passion for solving real-world problems in infrastructure and civic technology. REQUIREMENTS: - Proficiency in inside sales and lead generation with a track record of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities - Strong sales and business development skills with the ability to build and maintain a growing network of clients - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams - Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment - Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field (preferred) Nice to have: - Familiarity with AI tools, CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce), and sales engagement software - Interest in or exposure to government technology, infrastructure, or civic tech industries
