Botpress is an enterprise-grade AI agent platform for customer support, built from the ground up with AI-first architecture rather than bolting AI onto legacy systems. The company raised a $25M Series B in 2025 and is displacing legacy platforms like Zendesk at scale across industries and regions.
As a Business Development Representative, you'll own the front of the sales pipeline, reporting to the Director of Sales. This is not a list-and-blast role. Your primary responsibilities are:
• Prospect into named target accounts via email, phone, and LinkedIn with research-backed outreach that earns replies.
• Mine existing sign-ups, product usage data, and dormant leads to identify teams with genuine support problems—the highest-intent pipeline already exists within the product.
• Conduct first conversations that uncover the underlying business problem (ticket volume, response times, cost per resolution) rather than focusing on feature checklists.
• Qualify and hand off meetings to Account Executives with sufficient context so the next conversation starts in the right place.
• Consistently track and report activity, pipeline, and conversion metrics in the CRM.
• Feed market feedback—objections, pain points, patterns—back to marketing, product, and engineering teams.
• Test, measure, and iterate on your own messaging; the company values experimentation over waiting for a playbook.
Botpress emphasizes that this role is a clear pathway to an Account Executive position for high performers. You'll be the first human contact many prospects have with the company, so your ability to understand support teams' problems and communicate value will shape the entire sales experience.
The role covers Botpress's core North American market. The company runs a lean, innovative operation that leans on AI for business impact, with a culture where everyone is an owner. You'll work with a team that's not just adapting to the AI revolution but leading it.

• Comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to clearly communicate value and tailor messaging to different industries
• Organized, self-motivated, and persistent with strong follow-up discipline
• Comfortable operating without heavy process—you help build the motion as you go
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (required for North American market coverage)
