Salary: USD 140,000 - 150,000 / annual
Voyager Technologies is seeking a Business Development Manager for Space Electronics to develop and execute business development strategies that drive growth in the emerging space economy. This role focuses on creating, advancing, and winning recurring business with new and existing customers across the US Federal Government, allied nations, and commercial space vendors.
Key responsibilities include developing near and long-term business development strategies aligned with annual operating plans and long-range strategic objectives; tracking emerging markets and trends to propose new offerings and partnerships; collaborating with product development, technology, finance, and marketing teams to drive sustainable growth; engaging customers and vendors to understand requirements and shape pre-solicitation efforts; executing pursue, bid, and proposal processes with rigorous pipeline management; and fostering an entrepreneurial growth culture across the organization.
The role requires distilling complex technical and programmatic topics into clear executive-level messaging, producing high-quality proposals and presentations with minimal oversight, and leveraging AI-powered tools to accelerate business development workflows. You'll brief executive leadership, manage customer communications, and coordinate across multiple programs in a fast-paced environment.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or management (MBA or engineering master's preferred); 5+ years executing product sales, business development, or growth efforts in technology, defense, or aerospace companies; demonstrated experience with business development activities and executive briefings; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and the ability to secure a Secret Department of Defense security clearance. Travel up to 25% of the time is required.
