OpenFX is building infrastructure to enable cross-border payments for institutions, moving money as freely as data across time zones and legacy banking systems. The company is backed by top-tier investors including Accel and Lightspeed, with a team drawn from JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, FalconX, PayPal, Affirm, and other leading fintech and financial services firms.
As Business Development Manager for North America, you will own the full sales cycle for institutional customers—banks, fintechs, and financial institutions—across the region. Your responsibilities span new business development, including pipeline building and target account identification; full-cycle sales execution from discovery through close, with accountability for quarterly and annual revenue targets; and relationship management with senior stakeholders in Treasury, Finance, Payments, and Operations at prospective and existing clients.
You will serve as a strategic advisor, tailoring OpenFX's value proposition to each client's cross-border payment needs. Cross-functional collaboration is essential: you'll partner with Product, Engineering, Legal & Compliance, and Marketing to navigate technical integrations and structure deals. You'll also stay close to market trends in cross-border payments and institutional finance, sharing client feedback to inform product strategy.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of full-cycle, quota-carrying sales experience in fintech or payments, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets. You should be comfortable managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, possess strong communication and negotiation skills, and thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving early-stage environments. CRM proficiency (e.g., HubSpot) is required.
Standout candidates will have experience selling into banks or financial institutions, background in cross-border payments or treasury infrastructure, experience building sales processes at early-stage or high-growth startups, and an existing network of relevant buyer personas.
