FlixTrain is seeking a Business Development Manager to take full ownership of high-impact projects and partnerships that shape the future of customer experience in long-distance rail transport. You will drive strategic initiatives to enhance the on-board experience, working across production, partner management, and network planning teams. Key Responsibilities: - Support in defining and executing strategy to become the largest private and most loved provider of long-distance rail transport - Drive key strategic projects that enhance customer experience on board trains - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including production, partner management, and network/business planning teams - Establish project management structures, including timelines and steering formats - Develop reporting formats with KPI tracking and prepare presentations for senior management - Manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects while maintaining strong day-to-day partner relationships - Identify opportunities and build solutions from the ground up, continuously pushing partners to raise standards The role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of transforming the transport industry and directly influence how FlixTrain stays competitive, innovative, and committed to delivering high-quality journeys for passengers. Requirements: - Completed degree in business administration, business & logistics, or related field - At least 3 years of professional experience in operations consulting or management of cross-functional projects in collaboration with external partners (preferably in railway industry) - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills (including PowerPoint) - Track record of successfully implementing complex projects - Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders - Self-motivated and reliable with drive to continuously improve existing structures - Full working proficiency in both English and German (minimum C1 level for both)
