Salary: EUR 64,000 - 75,000 / annual
FINN, Germany's leading car subscription platform and a unicorn in the mobility sector, is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead defleeting operations—the critical process of removing vehicles from the subscription fleet at end-of-life. You will sit at the intersection of operational excellence and financial performance, designing scalable defleeting processes and managing key internal and external stakeholders.
Your core responsibilities include designing and standardizing end-to-end defleeting workflows to support rapid fleet growth across FINN Stations, balancing damage impairment costs, customer revenue recovery, and premium customer experience. You will drive initiatives to optimize turnaround times and damage-related costs while maintaining customer satisfaction. You'll serve as the primary operational partner for external stakeholders including OEMs, appraisers, and compound hubs, and lead cross-functional alignment with internal teams (Fleet, Customer Operations, Active Fleet, Vehicle Logistics & Stations).
You will establish operational metrics, leverage data-driven insights to identify bottlenecks and optimize cycle times, and proactively identify automation and optimization opportunities within the defleeting lifecycle. This is a hands-on role requiring structured project management, analytical rigor, and a bias toward action.
Required qualifications: degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology & Management, Economics, or related field; proven track record in a high-performance environment (fast-scaling startup, scale-up, VC fund, or top-tier strategy consulting); strong analytical skills with data-driven mindset; excellent German (C1/C2) and fluent professional English. Nice-to-have: automotive/logistics knowledge, experience with fleet management or vehicle remarketing, demonstrated success managing complex stakeholder relationships.
