Notion is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead and scale the Business Development Representative (BDR) function across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). This is a people-management role reporting into the EMEA leadership team, based in Dublin with hybrid flexibility (in-office Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays).
You will build and coach a high-performing BDR team focused on pipeline generation, qualification excellence, and professional development. Key responsibilities include: leading territory planning and daily execution; driving net-new pipeline through outbound prospecting and inbound response optimization; raising qualification standards to deliver sales-ready opportunities; establishing data-driven operating rhythms to track activity, conversion, pipeline, and revenue impact; embedding AI and automation into workflows to increase rep capacity; aligning cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, and Enablement; and hiring, onboarding, and developing top talent with clear performance management.
You'll work in lockstep with Sales and Marketing to focus the team on ICP-aligned accounts and priority initiatives. The role emphasizes coaching, mentorship, and creating an inclusive culture of high standards. You'll use metrics and data to identify bottlenecks, improve efficiency, and consistently hit SLAs and KPIs.
Required qualifications: extensive SaaS sales experience including outbound prospecting and new business closing; proven track record of consistently achieving goals in competitive environments; strong analytical skills and ability to optimize team performance; natural mentoring and coaching ability with a track record of developing sales professionals; adaptability and resilience in fast-paced environments; fluency in German language; excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience optimizing and scaling demand generation inbound functions alongside outbound pipe generation is a plus.
