Leonard Curtis, the UK's largest restructuring firm, is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across Sheffield and surrounding regions. This senior-level role combines relationship management with strategic business development, targeting professional services referrers (accountants, lawyers, lenders) and mid-market advisory opportunities.
You will manage an established portfolio of senior-level relationships with Partners and Directors at key firms, identifying and pursuing complex, multi-service opportunities where clients require integrated solutions across insolvency, restructuring, funding, and legal services. The role demands someone who can operate confidently at Director and Partner level, articulate sophisticated multi-pillar solutions, and generate new business from both existing relationships and strategic new connections.
Key responsibilities include: developing and managing a portfolio of professional contacts across accountancy, law, and lending firms; building trusted senior relationships and acting as the primary commercial point of contact; identifying mid-market opportunities requiring complex, multi-disciplinary solutions; developing growth plans with Directors targeting both relationship development and new strategic connections; representing Leonard Curtis at senior networking events and sector forums; maintaining CRM records and pipeline management; and contributing to regular reporting on revenue generation and BD activity.
You should have a proven track record in professional services BD (insolvency, restructuring, funding, accountancy, law, or finance), demonstrable success managing and developing senior referrer relationships, commercial acumen to engage credibly with senior decision-makers, strong communication and influencing skills, and the ability to manage a broad portfolio independently. CRM proficiency and Microsoft Office skills are essential. Technical knowledge in insolvency, restructuring, or corporate finance, an existing network of relevant professional contacts in the Sheffield area, and experience with mid-market transactions are desirable.
