inDrive is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth strategy execution and market development in Nigeria. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, requiring the candidate to design and implement local growth strategies including geo-expansion, vertical launches, and unit economics optimization.
Key responsibilities include:
• Growth Strategy Execution: Design and implement local growth strategies tailored to Nigeria, managing geo-expansion, unit economics, and vertical launches with measurable outcomes.
• Market Development: Drive go-to-market initiatives with full ownership of adoption metrics and ROI, ensuring strategies are contextualized for the Nigerian market.
• Strategic Partnerships: Build and manage high-impact relationships with local fleets, enterprises, and regulatory stakeholders to support business objectives.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with product, operations, and marketing teams to localize initiatives, pilot programs, and deliver measurable business impact.
• Operational Excellence: Monitor KPIs using SQL, Tableau, or similar analytics tools; identify operational bottlenecks and optimize processes and performance.
• Problem-Solving Autonomy: Navigate complex and ambiguous environments with decisiveness, addressing competitive, regulatory, and operational challenges independently.
The ideal candidate is a resilient self-starter who takes ownership of outcomes and executes with discipline in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Requirements:
• 6+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or growth roles (tech, mobility, or logistics sectors preferred)
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights; SQL proficiency is a plus
• Proven track record of delivering measurable results, not just ideas
• Highly autonomous and comfortable navigating ambiguity
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in English with outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
