Salary: USD 60,000 - 100,000 / annual
GoodLeap is a fintech platform delivering financing and software products for sustainable home solutions, including solar panels, batteries, HVAC systems, heat pumps, roofing, and windows. The company has facilitated over $30 billion in financing since 2018 and serves thousands of home improvement professionals and over 1 million homeowners.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and signing new Home Improvement Contractors as GoodLeap partners. This is a hunter-focused role that combines inbound lead follow-up with outbound prospecting via cold calls and emails. You will manage accounts under $2 million annually; larger opportunities are handed off to the outside sales team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively source and qualify prospective GoodLeap partners through multiple channels
- Develop deep product knowledge and translate GoodLeap's offerings to contractor needs
- Collaborate with Business Development Directors to ensure partner success and provide business intelligence-driven guidance
- Clearly explain and position technical and financial products, including loan programs and legal agreements
- Innovate on sales processes and pitches; contribute feedback to improve initiatives
- Interact with executive leadership to develop and enhance partner programs
- Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with minimal supervision

REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Selling to home improvement contractors and/or distributors
- Working for a home improvement contractor, selling to homeowners using financing to close deals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage effectively with all organizational levels, from cross-functional teams to executive leadership
- Skilled at articulating ideas through client proposals, persuasive presentations, and strategic outreach materials
- Ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
