Squarespace is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead partnership strategy across two critical growth areas: AI ecosystem and discoverability partnerships, and the Acuity Scheduling partner ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to shape how Squarespace participates in emerging technology ecosystems, influence external platform roadmaps, and drive long-term business growth through strategic partnerships.
Key responsibilities include developing and leading Squarespace's long-term AI ecosystem partnership strategy, shaping participation in emerging AI discovery, search, commerce, and agent ecosystems. You will influence product direction and partnership strategy with senior leaders at major AI and technology companies, serve as a strategic advisor on AI ecosystem trends, and drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Marketing, SEO, and Executive Leadership.
For Acuity Scheduling, you will define and lead the long-term partnership vision and ecosystem strategy, identifying transformational opportunities that accelerate product adoption and revenue growth. This includes developing ecosystem expansion strategies, identifying AI-native workflow integration opportunities, and building active relationships with integration partners.
General partnership responsibilities encompass shaping Squarespace's partnership strategy and investment priorities, leading complex high-visibility initiatives with multiple stakeholders, representing the company with executive-level partners, developing business proposals and KPIs, and maintaining direct relationships with all partners.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of professional experience in partnerships, business development, strategy, or product management, with demonstrated expertise in SaaS partnerships and product integrations across scheduling, booking, ecommerce, or platform ecosystems. Deep familiarity with AI ecosystems—including generative AI, AI-powered search, agentic workflows, and emerging platforms—is essential. You should have strong executive presence, proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, strong product and technical intuition, and excellent judgment in fast-moving, cross-functional environments. The role reports directly to the Associate Director of Business Development and can be based in New York or remotely in an approved US state.
