Salary: USD 162,000 - 243,000 / annual
Precision for Medicine seeks a Business Development Director to identify and close significant business opportunities for Precision Bioservices across the West Coast region. This role focuses on biobanking, sample preparation services, and specialty lab services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and qualifying leads for all Bioservices products and services
- Developing and enhancing client relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech, and CRO organizations
- Writing proposals and developing project budgets with internal technical experts
- Closing new business and expanding existing relationships
- Collaborating with Marketing, Technical Support, Customer Support, and Production teams
- Maintaining opportunity pipeline and client contacts in Salesforce
- Attending industry conferences, trade shows, and client meetings
- Traveling up to 35% domestically and internationally as needed
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related sales experience; OR Master's degree with 2+ years; OR PhD with 0-1 years
- Proven track record in pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO sales, specifically with biobanking and lab services
- Strong client relationship management and business development skills
- Self-directed, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Ability to think strategically and act tactically in dynamic environments
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred qualifications:
- Academic background in life sciences or related field
- Master's or PhD in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry
- 10+ years of related sales experience
