AKASA is a leading provider of generative AI solutions for healthcare revenue cycle management, helping health systems streamline operations and improve patient care delivery. The company has raised over $205M from top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz and has achieved exceptional growth, with revenue bookings for their AI-native product suite growing over 20x since 2024. Their customer base includes major health systems like Cleveland Clinic, Duke, Stanford, and Johns Hopkins, representing over $120B in net patient revenue. As a Business Development Associate, you will report to the Director of Commercial Operations and drive growth by generating, qualifying, and nurturing top-of-funnel opportunities. Your responsibilities include researching target market accounts and identifying qualified contacts, coordinating cold outreach efforts with marketing and sales teams, following up on inbound leads from campaigns and web inquiries, and securing initial commercial meetings through cold calls and personalized emails. You will attend select industry events and trade shows to generate leads and build prospect relationships, maintain accurate prospect and customer data in Salesforce CRM, and monitor marketing lead queues to evaluate commercial viability while surfacing operational inefficiencies. The role is hybrid, based in either South San Francisco or New York. You'll work closely with marketing and sales teams to maximize conversion rates and directly contribute to revenue growth. This is an excellent opportunity to launch or accelerate a career in business development at a high-growth, well-funded healthtech startup recognized as a Great Place to Work and one of America's Top Startup Employers.
