Albedo is building the infrastructure for Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) satellites, operating between 250–400 km altitude where proximity enhances performance and natural drag mitigates debris. The company is scaling its national security business and seeking a Business Development and Capture Manager to drive growth in government and commercial markets.
In this role, you will serve as a primary customer-facing point of contact for assigned government and commercial accounts, particularly within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. You'll define and execute business development and campaign strategies, building and maintaining trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and mission owners. Key responsibilities include identifying and qualifying new opportunities aligned with Albedo's capabilities, supporting capture strategy development (value propositions, teaming, win approaches), and managing multiple concurrent campaigns while coordinating with capture and engineering teams.
You'll work closely with internal teams to ensure proposed solutions reflect mission realities, support proposal shaping and executive reviews, and drive customer engagement activities. This is a strategic role where you'll help set direction alongside execution, shaping strategy and win approaches with capture and engineering leadership.
Ideal candidates bring experience in national security space or government acquisition—either from industry business development/capture roles or from the government side (program managers, contracting officers, COTRs). Recent USG experience is strongly preferred. You should have a strong understanding of relevant mission areas such as ISR, GEOINT, SIGINT, AMTI, multi-domain killchains, space warfighting, or space domain awareness (SDA). Demonstrated success supporting or leading capture campaigns, proven ability to manage long-term customer relationships, and excellent communication across technical, operational, and executive audiences are essential. A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required.
Nice-to-have qualifications include mission-domain fluency in VLEO, EO, active/passive RF, or SDA; an existing network across government or IC agencies; experience supporting classified programs; product or mission integration experience; demonstrated discretion in sensitive environments; and an active security clearance.
Albedo operates with a first-principles approach, moving with speed and calculated risk-taking while learning quickly. The company leverages AI across disciplines and emphasizes in-person collaboration at its Broomfield, CO headquarters to maximize team productivity.
