Okta is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join its Professional Services team, serving as a bridge between customer business objectives and technical implementation for Identity and Access Management (IAM) deployments. You will own the complete requirements lifecycle—from initial discovery and stakeholder alignment through functional design and solution validation—ensuring secure, scalable implementations aligned with customer strategic needs.
Key responsibilities include facilitating stakeholder workshops to uncover requirements and map current-state IAM processes; translating business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements with clear process flows and solution design diagrams; owning the requirements traceability matrix to ensure alignment between business goals and technical outcomes; partnering with technical architects to translate requirements into actionable specifications and providing functional oversight during build phases; and executing change management, creating user training documentation, and supporting go-live activities.
You will bring 8+ years of consulting, analysis, and enterprise project/program delivery experience with demonstrated understanding of IAM principles and best practices. Strong analytical rigor, excellent communication skills to synthesize complex technical specifications for non-technical stakeholders, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency with standard project documentation templates (BRD, solution design) are essential. A bachelor's degree in IT, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field is required.
Extra credit qualifications include proficiency in Okta's WIC/CIC and Auth0 platforms, relevant certifications (Okta Certified Professional/Administrator/Consultant or CBAP), and familiarity with AI-driven documentation tools. This role is hybrid based in Chicago and offers the opportunity to drive high-impact outcomes for enterprise identity deployments.
