Flock is a fast-growing insurtech company revolutionizing fleet insurance through real-time, data-driven risk assessment and connected vehicle technology. The company has raised over £50M and now insures hundreds of fleets across the UK, including major clients like Amazon, DPD, Uber, and Bolt. With nearly 1 billion connected, insured miles, Flock is positioned to become the leading insurance provider for connected and autonomous vehicles.
As Broker Development Manager, you will lead Flock's distribution strategy through broker partnerships. You'll manage a strategic panel of key brokers, driving mutual growth and long-term commercial success. Your primary responsibilities include delivering high volumes of broker submissions to support ambitious growth targets, building and onboarding new broker partners at pace, and maximizing their commercial potential.
You'll act as the primary face of Flock to your broker panel, proactively engaging partners to promote Flock's market-leading connected fleet proposition and expanding into new sectors. You'll develop data-driven account growth strategies, support day-to-day trading activity, and collaborate across internal teams to achieve shared growth objectives. The role emphasizes using AI as a core working tool—from broker research and meeting preparation to pipeline analysis—so your time focuses on high-value relationship conversations rather than administrative tasks.
You'll need a minimum of 5 years managing broker relationships in the insurance sector with a strong industry reputation. Essential qualifications include a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets, deep understanding of the commercial broker marketplace and competitor carriers, and an existing network of broker contacts for rapid integration. You should be comfortable with consultative sales, able to align Flock's value proposition with broker needs, and genuinely curious about leveraging AI to win business.
Preferred experience includes building broker networks in Commercial Motor Fleet settings, active panel management in commercial insurance, and success distributing new technologies and products to brokers. The role is based in Central London (minimum 3 days/week in office, with flexibility for client visits), though the posting indicates Leeds as the location.
