Flock is a UK-based insurtech company transforming fleet insurance through real-time, data-driven risk assessment and connected vehicle technology. The company has raised over £50M and insures hundreds of fleets including Amazon, DPD, Uber, and Bolt, with a mission to become the leading insurance provider for connected and autonomous vehicles.
As Broker Development Manager, you will lead Flock's distribution strategy by managing a panel of key strategic broker partners in the commercial motor fleet space. Your primary responsibilities include acting as Flock's primary contact for broker partners, driving mutual growth and long-term commercial success. You will deliver high volumes of broker submissions to support ambitious growth targets, build and onboard new broker partners at pace, and maximize their commercial potential.
You'll develop and execute data-driven account growth strategies, proactively engage brokers to promote Flock's appetite and proposition as the company expands into new sectors, and achieve strong conversion and retention through day-to-day trading support. Collaboration is central to the role—you'll work closely with internal teams across the business to deliver shared growth objectives while maintaining strong broker advocacy through visibility, responsiveness, and passion for Flock's product and mission.
The role emphasizes AI-first working practices. You'll use AI daily for broker research, meeting preparation, pipeline analysis, and opportunity spotting, freeing your time for high-value relationship conversations. This is a hybrid role based in Central London (minimum 3 days/week in office), though client and broker site visits can substitute for office days.
You bring a minimum of 5 years managing broker relationships in insurance, with an established reputation in the industry. You have a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets, driving business growth, and collaborating cross-functionally. An existing network of broker contacts is essential for rapid integration and immediate impact. You possess exceptional understanding of the commercial broker marketplace, competitor carriers, broker business models, and consultative sales processes. Comfort with AI tools and curiosity about their application to business development is required. Preferred experience includes building broker networks in commercial motor fleet settings and successfully distributing new technologies to brokers.
