Waabi is seeking a Bringup Engineer to support vehicle and component development for autonomous transportation systems. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and root-causing software and hardware faults across different vehicle platforms, providing technical support to the autonomous vehicle fleet, and collaborating with engineering teams to improve performance and reduce faults.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing on-vehicle test plans to verify functional and interface requirements, documenting and reporting vehicle bringup processes and debugging steps to streamline operations, and working with OEMs to understand communication interfaces on bench and in-vehicle environments. You will collaborate across multiple teams to ensure vehicle performance and communicate technical findings clearly.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on debugging experience, preferably in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or similarly complex environments. You must have strong experience with automotive cameras, sensor data acquisition, processing, and analysis techniques. Proficiency with signal processing, statistics, and machine learning algorithms is essential, along with strong Linux and scripting language skills. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong written and verbal communication skills. You should be comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with genuine passion for self-driving technologies and solving hard problems.
