Reserv is an insurtech company building AI and automation technology to modernize claims processing. Founded by insurtech veterans and backed by Bain Capital and Altai Ventures, Reserv is transforming how third-party administrators (TPAs), insurance technology providers, and adjusters handle claims by automating manual tasks and improving efficiency. As a Bodily Injury Claims Team Lead, you will serve as a working leader supporting a claims manager with both leadership and technical claims responsibilities. You will oversee work within the Commercial Transportation adjusting staff, balancing management duties with individual contributor responsibilities when volume requires. Your focus will be on leveraging technology and analytics to drive operational effectiveness and performance. Key responsibilities include: - Provide leadership and oversight to the Commercial Transportation adjusting team - Serve as backup leader when the manager/director is out of office - Handle initial onboarding tasks and new hire cultural immersion - Act as subject matter expert for first-line questions, escalations, and roundtable discussions - Exercise increased reserve and payment authority; assist with moderate claim reviews - Implement and maintain best practices for claims handling (intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, recovery) - Align team with client and customer expectations - Serve as a resource for escalated claims - Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and encourage professional growth - Attract, hire, retain, and train team members with support from leadership - Prepare and present comprehensive claims reports, metrics, and analyses to clients; advise on claim trends and loss mitigation - Identify topics and trends for team huddles and workshops - Champion customer-centric mindset across the organization You will need flexibility to switch between claims handling and coaching, agility to pivot between priorities, and the ability to be consistently dependable in achieving goals. This role requires strong communication skills, including comfort with phone communications throughout the claims process. REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum 5 years of insurance claims experience in bodily injury and property damage - Minimum 3 years of leadership experience (preference for remote management experience) - Comfortable with technology and ability to evolve claims systems and processes for better efficiencies - Demonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail - Integrity, ethics, and strong accountability in handling confidential and sensitive information - Active adjuster license (resident-state license where available, or Designated Home State license); willing to obtain additional required licenses within 60 days including state testing - Must reside in an eligible U.S. state throughout employment (cannot hire from California, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or outside the United States)
