Re:Build Manufacturing is revitalizing America's manufacturing base through an advanced, end-to-end manufacturing platform serving aerospace and defense, electrification, medical, energy, and robotics sectors. Re:Build Battery Solutions, a division focused on lithium-ion battery systems, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing and developing advanced battery systems for automotive, aerospace, renewable energy, and industrial applications. In this role, you will own the electrical system architecture and design of battery packs, including high- and low-voltage distribution, protection systems, and interfaces. You will create comprehensive electrical schematics covering sensors, contactors, fuses, connectors, harnesses, and control electronics. Your responsibilities include evaluating and specifying electronics hardware such as current sensors, power electronics, and microcontrollers, ensuring safety, performance, and manufacturability. You will conduct thermal and power dissipation analyses to guarantee reliable operation across environmental and load conditions, and contribute to circuit design, simulation, and bench testing for measurement, control, and protection functions. Safety and compliance are critical—you will support DFMEA, functional safety standards (ISO 26262 or equivalent), and industry compliance including UL requirements. Working cross-functionally with mechanical, software, program management, and manufacturing teams, you will support all phases of the program lifecycle from concept design through prototyping, validation, and launch. You will develop validation test plans, analyze data, troubleshoot electrical issues, and communicate technical findings to customers, suppliers, and internal leadership. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of system-level design experience for lithium-ion battery packs or related electrical systems, plus 4+ years of engineering experience in automotive, aerospace, industrial, or related sectors. Strong technical fundamentals, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly are essential.
