As a Backend Software Engineer on the Agents Channel team, you will own features across the full development lifecycle—from inception through design, coding, testing, and production deployment. You'll work with modern backend technologies, primarily Kotlin, in a fast-paced environment that pushes code to production multiple times daily via CI/CD pipelines. The role emphasizes clean, testable code and collaboration across product, marketing, and frontend teams to solve complex business challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing backend features for the Agents Channel domain with high quality and test coverage
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, frontend engineers) to iterate rapidly and find optimal solutions
- Leveraging AI and LLM-powered tools to enhance developer productivity and experimentation
- Working in distributed, cloud-based environments (AWS) with relational databases
You'll need 6+ years of backend development experience with Java, Kotlin, Python, or .NET; a B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent; strong OOP fundamentals; hands-on experience with cloud platforms and SQL; and the ability to learn quickly in a dynamic, cross-domain environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
The position is hybrid (3 days in office per week) based in Waltham, MA.
