BitGo (NYSE: BTGO) is a digital asset infrastructure company providing custody, wallets, staking, trading, financing, stablecoins, and settlement services. The company operates as a regulated trust bank and serves thousands of institutions and millions of investors globally.
You will join the core trading and fund-flow services team to design and ship crypto products. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant technical leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end fund flows for INR onboarding, deposits, withdrawals, and collateral management with emphasis on correctness, reconciliation, and auditability
- Design and build scalable, secure backend APIs and services for retail derivatives trading (futures and perpetuals), including order management, margin, positions, liquidation, funding, and settlement flows
- Model and manage risk in the product: leverage limits, margin requirements, mark price, liquidations, and exposure controls
- Integrate with exchanges, liquidity venues, and market data providers to build reliable, low-latency market connectivity
- Partner with mobile engineers and Product to define APIs and ship features on a standalone mobile app
- Provide technical leadership: set architecture and engineering standards, run design and code reviews, and mentor engineers
- Take ownership of availability, performance, and quality of services from design through deployment and support
- Coordinate with stakeholders in the US and other global locations, including occasional calls in ET hours
Requirements:
- 6+ years of professional back-end and server-side development experience
- Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js, RESTful API design, and microservices/service-oriented architectures
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and designing for correctness in financial or transactional systems
- Knowledge of derivatives (futures, options, perpetuals): order types, margin, funding, liquidation, and settlement
- Familiarity with fund flows, risk, and security considerations in trading or financial platforms
- Solid algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis skills
- Experience with unit and functional testing, Git/GitHub workflows, code review, and CI tooling
- Ability to move quickly and adjust course in a fast-paced environment; strong written and verbal communication
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- Understanding of or strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain
Preferred:
- Experience building futures or perpetuals products at a crypto exchange or trading platform
- Crypto experience preferred; strong traditional-finance derivatives experience welcome
- Mobile development knowledge (React Native, iOS, or Android) or full-stack familiarity with React
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers, or acting as a tech lead/engineering manager
- Experience building consumer-facing financial or crypto products and public-facing APIs in production
