Payoneer, founded in 2005, is a global financial platform serving over 2,500 colleagues and customers in 190+ countries. The company simplifies cross-border business by removing friction from financial workflows—payments, compliance, multi-currency management, workforce management, working capital, and business intelligence.
You'll take a leadership role in designing and implementing robust, scalable backend solutions using C# and .NET. Your responsibilities include:
• Lead team efforts in system design, architecture, development, quality assurance, and production deployment
• Design and implement maintainable backend solutions for complex scenarios consumed by other teams
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design/UX, DevOps, and other R&D teams
• Maintain and improve engineering practices, suggesting technology and process enhancements
• Proactively identify scalability and system improvements
• Lead by example in code quality, conduct thorough code reviews, and mentor on engineering excellence
• Monitor production systems, investigate issues, and lead resolution of critical challenges
Required qualifications:
• 6+ years backend software engineering experience with ability to navigate technical trade-offs
• Extensive C# and .NET ecosystem expertise (mandatory)
• Hands-on SQL Server and database management experience
• Message queue/streaming platform experience (RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka)
• Strong unit testing and design principles knowledge
• Microservices architecture experience
• Experience designing new functionality for complex components while maintaining scalability
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
• BSc/BE/B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent
Bonus skills: Agile methodologies, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), non-relational databases (MongoDB), mentoring experience.
Location: Gurugram, India with 3 days per week in office. Full-time position.
