Salary: USD 120,000 - 180,000 / annual
Sirius Technology is building AI agents to solve subscriber churn for consumer subscription brands. Backed by a16z Speedrun, the company works with customers like Higgsfield and Promova to help retain users, extend lifetime value, and accelerate growth. The founding team includes Azamat Khamidov (who built a Telegram AI product to 5M users in 4 months) and Benazir Toleubekova (former Alibaba engineer who architected recommendation systems serving 500M daily users).
As a Backend Engineer, you will be central to building and maintaining the critical backend infrastructure powering the product. Key responsibilities include: designing scalable architectures for new product features and business requirements; developing, deploying, and optimizing backend services for performance, reliability, and maintainability; collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate third-party platforms, APIs, and AI technologies; improving engineering standards and development processes; and proactively identifying and resolving complex technical challenges.
You should bring 1+ years of professional backend development experience with a track record of delivering reliable, scalable systems. Required skills include advanced proficiency in server-side programming, experience designing database-driven applications, strong API development and systems integration knowledge, and best practices in software engineering. You must have experience building and maintaining production environments that scale to real users, an independent and proactive problem-solving approach, and the ability to drive projects forward. You must be based in San Francisco or able to work full-time on-site; visa sponsorship is not available.
