Coralogix is a modern, full-stack observability platform transforming how businesses process and understand their data. The Alerting backend team powers real-time, streaming-based detection at massive scale, processing millions of events per second with millisecond latency. Built with a distributed, event-driven architecture, it supports complex pattern evaluation, dynamic enrichment, and fault-tolerant delivery for mission-critical observability.
In this role, you will lead the design, development, and evolution of scalable, high-impact systems. You'll own features end-to-end, ensuring predictable production behavior from design through deployment. You'll solve complex technical challenges at scale using sound engineering principles and modern stream processing technologies. Close collaboration with engineers and product managers will be central to continuously improving the product, with a focus on driving both technical excellence and meaningful user outcomes.
Tech Stack: Scala (ZIO), Kafka Streams / Akka Streams, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis, Kubernetes, AWS.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of development experience with JVM stack (Java, Kotlin, or Scala) — advantage
- 3+ years of experience developing and operating distributed systems in production
- Hands-on experience with observability platforms (Coralogix, Grafana, etc.)
- Proven experience building highly available and reliable systems through strong architectural practices, monitoring, and proactive incident management
- Hands-on experience with data streaming technologies, including Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, KafkaStreams, or Apache Flink
- Proficiency in data modeling and designing systems to handle large-scale, distributed datasets efficiently
- Strong knowledge of distributed computing paradigms and principles (consistency, partitioning, resilience)
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent field
- Advantages: Familiarity with gRPC and Protobuf; hands-on experience with RocksDB optimizations and tuning; production experience in a SaaS environment
