In this Backend Developer role, you will build and maintain the critical integrations between Octopus Energy's business operations, data infrastructure, and B2B customer platform. You'll work at the intersection of the company's CRM system, Databricks data analytics, and external service providers, developing secure, performant, and scalable APIs using Python and Django.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and extending B2B APIs that connect operational processes with customer-facing systems
- Building integrations with external service providers and automating data flows
- Architecting a modern, maintainable Python/Django backend that scales with the business
- Collaborating closely with Marketing, Operations, and Data teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Ensuring data security, performance, and reliability across all integrations
