OpenAI is seeking a B2B Marketing Manager to own the integrated marketing strategy and execution for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). This is a strategic and hands-on role that bridges global AI adoption priorities with regional market dynamics.
You will be the primary commercial marketing partner to DACH Sales and GTM leadership, translating market insights, revenue priorities, and customer needs into locally relevant programs that drive pipeline, accelerate opportunities, and deepen customer relationships. You will carry clear pipeline goals and be accountable for demonstrating measurable marketing contribution to commercial outcomes.
The role spans field and executive marketing, demand generation, account-based programs, content, customer marketing, partnerships, events, and product launches. You will develop a cohesive DACH B2B plan by drawing on specialist capabilities within the EMEA B2B Marketing team in London and global teams. A critical partnership will be with the DACH Consumer Marketing Lead to ensure B2B and B2C strategies are coordinated and complementary while maintaining clear B2B accountability.
Key responsibilities include: owning the DACH B2B marketing plan aligned with regional and revenue goals; carrying pipeline goals and demonstrating measurable contribution to pipeline creation and revenue outcomes; partnering closely with Sales and GTM on territory planning, target-account prioritization, and quarterly business reviews; building full-funnel programs across all marketing channels; designing programs around priority accounts and buying groups with tailored narratives for senior decision-makers; working with Marketing Operations on audience definition, campaign architecture, data quality, performance tracking, and attribution; establishing regular Sales-Marketing-Ops pacing rhythms; translating global campaigns and launches into locally relevant programs reflecting DACH market dynamics and language; leveraging EMEA specialist teams while serving as the voice of DACH in regional planning; developing locally relevant customer stories and advocacy opportunities; building joint programs with strategic partners; owning the operating rhythm including planning, budget management, agency coordination, and performance reporting; and building repeatable playbooks to share learning across EMEA.
The role requires someone who can move fluidly between strategy and execution: shaping market plans, participating in pipeline reviews, developing priority-account programs, adapting global campaigns, briefing agencies, supporting executive events, and personally unblocking delivery when needed. Regular travel within DACH and to London is required. The role is preferably based in Munich, though Berlin may be considered for an exceptional candidate.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 12+ years of experience in integrated B2B, regional, field, demand generation, or account-based marketing, ideally in enterprise technology, cloud, AI, or SaaS
- Proven track record of driving measurable pipeline and revenue impact through integrated B2B marketing programs, ideally within large, complex enterprise sales cycles
- Experience supporting high-value products with long sales cycles, multiple decision-makers, and significant commercial scrutiny; familiarity with engaging senior decision-makers—particularly technical C-suite audiences—throughout complex buying journeys
- Track record of holding pipeline goals or comparable commercial targets and ability to clearly demonstrate how marketing decisions created, influenced, or accelerated revenue opportunities
- Close partnership experience with enterprise sellers and Sales leadership on account prioritization, pipeline reviews, opportunity acceleration, and executive engagement
- Experience working closely with Marketing Operations on campaign architecture, segmentation, lead and account processes, measurement, attribution, and performance reporting
- Comfort using pipeline and campaign data to diagnose performance, make trade-offs, and redirect investment
- Marketing generalist background connecting multiple channels into coherent market plans, with strong track record of partnering with consumer marketing leaders to integrate B2B and B2C strategy without blurring ownership
- Understanding of DACH enterprise buying dynamics and ability to translate local customer, industry, cultural, and regulatory context into stronger marketing decisions
- Ability to balance local market needs with regional and global priorities while influencing effectively within a matrixed international organization
- Both strategic and hands-on: able to establish direction and operating structure while personally driving high-priority work to completion
- Strong commercial judgment, operational discipline, and clear prioritization decision-making
- Credible communication with senior customer decision-makers—particularly technical C-suite audiences—as well as Sales, Marketing, and partner stakeholders
- Energized by AI and motivated to help organizations across DACH adopt transformative technology responsibly
- Fluent in German and English
