You will join the US Operations team as a Business Development Manager based in the Bay Area (Redondo Beach, CA), leading the expansion of Upway's partner network. This is a high-ownership, individual contributor role for someone who thrives in outbound sales, builds strong relationships, and delivers results in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include owning the entire sales cycle from cold outreach through deal closing; performing high-volume prospecting via email, phone, and in-person visits; building and growing the partner network across independent bike shops, large retailers, and OEMs; sourcing and negotiating inventory of second-hand electric bikes; traveling extensively to meet partners and understand their needs; representing Upway's brand in the market; collaborating cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and product teams; and delivering against ambitious targets.
Required qualifications: 2+ years of experience in business development, B2B sales, sourcing, or partner management, ideally in a fast-paced or startup environment; proven track record of owning a sales pipeline and closing deals; exceptional communication and negotiation skills; high energy and self-motivation with comfort working independently; experience with in-person client interactions and field sales; strong organizational skills and bias for action; passion for sustainability and mobility; willingness to travel frequently (up to 50%) and be based full-time in Redondo Beach, CA.
