Konfio, Mexico's leading fintech company serving over 100,000 SME clients, is seeking an AWS Platform Engineer to design and operate cloud infrastructure supporting AI-powered financial products. You will integrate Claude (Anthropic) as the foundational model, building scalable, secure, and cost-efficient environments while automating manual dependencies to accelerate development cycles across the engineering organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure & Automation: Develop infrastructure as code using OpenTofu/Terraform and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Docker/Kubernetes) to enable autonomous deployments.
- AI Platform: Integrate core AI components including API gateways, model routing, and traceability; optimize operational costs through caching and batching strategies.
- High Availability: Administer relational databases (RDS/Aurora with PostgreSQL), implementing automated failover and robust backup policies.
- Security & Observability: Centralize credential management via AWS Secrets Manager and design proactive monitoring using Datadog and Grafana to prevent operational incidents.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Standardize architecture with the Cloud/SRE team and ensure regulatory compliance (CNBV, SOC 2, PCI) alongside Security & Compliance teams.
Requirements:
- 4+ years operating production workloads in AWS (EC2, IAM, RDS/Aurora, S3, Secrets Manager)
- Proven experience with Terraform/OpenTofu, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and Linux administration
- Technical mastery of Claude and advanced prompt engineering; production experience operating LLM services
- Desirable: Fintech sector experience, advanced Python, AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps, or Machine Learning)
