Qapita is a fintech infrastructure company providing equity management solutions (cap tables, ESOP programs) to 2,900+ companies across Singapore, India, Indonesia, and the US. Backed by Charles Schwab, Citibank, and MassMutual Ventures, the company operates at the intersection of fintech and private capital markets. The Secondaries & Liquidity Programs team originates and distributes pre-IPO secondary transactions, working with VCs, family offices, institutional investors, and HNIs. You will join this desk as a client-facing, revenue-generating business development professional reporting directly to the Business Head. Key responsibilities include building and managing a pipeline of family offices, multi-family offices, and institutional investors across Singapore and wider Asia; leading outreach and relationship development; qualifying deal interest; representing Qapita at investor events and roadshows; developing investor materials (teasers, pitch decks, deal memos); supporting deal origination and execution; coordinating investor diligence and closing logistics; tracking deal flow in CRM systems; and staying current on pre-IPO secondary market trends. You must operate within MAS CMS regulatory requirements and ensure all investor interactions meet internal compliance standards. Required experience: 5–10 years in a regulated financial institution (wealth management, asset management, investment banking, or capital markets-focused fintech) with a demonstrated track record in business development or client-facing roles covering family offices and/or institutional investors. Exposure to private markets (private equity, venture secondaries, pre-IPO investments, alternatives) is preferred. Experience with Southeast Asian, broader Asian, or Middle East investor coverage is a plus. Required skills: strong written and verbal communication; ability to engage sophisticated investors with clarity and confidence; comfort managing the full BD cycle independently from cold outreach through close; proficiency in investor materials (PowerPoint, Excel modelling, deal summaries) and AI tools; analytical thinking; and ability to assess deal merit and frame investment rationale. Regulatory requirements: must hold or be eligible to hold a MAS Representative Notification under CMS License; IBF certification (CMFAS Modules 1B, CM-SIP or equivalent) is required, with priority given to candidates who have cleared relevant IBF examinations. Desired traits: high ownership mentality; comfort with ambiguity in a fast-growing fintech; structured and detail-oriented approach; ability to manage multiple deals and investor conversations simultaneously; credibility with senior stakeholders at family offices and investment committees. The role offers real deal exposure from day one, work with an experienced team in a fast-growing capital markets segment, and competitive fixed compensation plus performance-linked variable pay. Preference given to candidates based in Singapore.
