Impulse is seeking an Avionics Test Engineer to develop and execute comprehensive test systems for flight electrical hardware, from individual circuit boards to complete spacecraft. You will own the full lifecycle of test system design and implementation, working across hardware development, production, and launch operations. Key responsibilities include: - Design and build end-to-end test systems that validate flight electrical hardware including circuit boards, optical devices, and electromechanical assemblies - Set up, operate, and troubleshoot electrical test equipment and ground support hardware - Develop automated testing solutions to collect, analyze, and document test data - Build and maintain test racks and integrated testbeds at component and system levels - Collaborate with avionics, propulsion, GNC, software, and integration engineers to ensure complete test coverage - Provide design feedback to improve Impulse's avionics ecosystem - Support launch site activities by traveling with spacecraft and conducting pre-launch verification tests Required qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field - 2+ years of demonstrated experience testing electrical systems - Proficiency in circuit board design using Altium Designer - Experience designing and owning test systems from concept through implementation - Experience executing tests to support product development and prototyping - Ability to work with design engineers on test requirements for under-defined systems - Strong organizational and project planning skills with ability to lead meetings and communicate technical decisions This role offers the opportunity to contribute across all stages of spacecraft development, from initial concepts through on-orbit operations, with direct impact on mission-critical hardware validation.
