Tenstorrent is hiring an ATE Test Development Engineer to build sophisticated, scalable test solutions on the Advantest V93000 platform. You will own the development, debug, datalogging, and optimization of ATE test content for NPI and production, ensuring high-performance AI and compute silicon devices are thoroughly characterized, efficiently tested, and ready for high-volume manufacturing.
In this role, you will develop and maintain modular ATE test programs and measurement libraries for both NPI and production environments. You'll implement and optimize parametric, functional, scan, BIST, and system-level test flows using tester APIs and custom measurement sequences. A key responsibility is debugging ATE failures and supporting product engineering with characterization work, including Vmin/Fmax extraction, guard-band definition, production limits, and correlation to bench, SLT, and validation results.
You will build robust datalogging and automation solutions while improving test time, multisite efficiency, measurement stability, yield analysis, and regression testing. The role offers exposure to how test methodology, instrumentation behavior, silicon performance, and manufacturing requirements interconnect, as well as techniques for silicon characterization, yield learning, and automated failure triage. You'll see firsthand how ATE test content progresses from NPI bring-up and debug through production release and high-volume manufacturing.
Tenstorrent is a high-performance AI computing company that has developed a RISC-V CPU from scratch and is building an integrated AI platform spanning software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors. The team values collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to solving hard problems.
The role is hybrid, based out of Austin, TX; Santa Clara, CA; or Fort Collins, CO. Candidates at various experience levels are welcome, and offers will align with assessed level during the interview process.

- 10+ years of experience in ATE test development, semiconductor test engineering, or post-silicon validation
- Proficiency with Advantest V93000, SmartTest 8, tester APIs, C++ or Java, and Python automation
- Understanding of ATE instrumentation, including DPS, PMU, RF/HSIO, timing sets, multisite execution, and tester-to-DUT behavior
- Structured problem-solving skills with experience in controlled experimentation, root-cause isolation, cross-domain debug, and semiconductor test methodologies
- Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology; citizenship/permanent residency status or ability to obtain prior license approval from U.S. Commerce Department may be required
