Salary: USD 87,188 - 127,149 / annual
Oscar Health, a technology-driven health insurance company founded in 2012, is seeking an Associate in Value Based Contracting to join the Network Contracting team. This hybrid role combines remote work from your home office with frequent local travel for provider meetings across assigned states (Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, or Virginia).
You will support the negotiation and execution of value-based contracts with healthcare providers, focusing on building a robust network while optimizing costs and ensuring access to quality care. Key responsibilities include managing provider contracts, analyzing provider performance data, negotiating reimbursement rates, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. You will serve as a subject matter expert to junior team members, providing mentorship and guidance on strategic contracting objectives.
The role involves comprehensive contract reviews, financial analyses of provider performance, and collaboration with market leaders and provider services teams. You will monitor assigned networks for compliance, develop corrective action plans, and support implementation of contracting policies and workflows. Success requires meeting defined metrics and SLAs for provider outreach and contract completion.
Required qualifications include 3+ years in healthcare client management, consulting, or provider contracting; 2+ years supporting provider network strategy and contract negotiation; 1+ years running financial analyses on markets or product lines; and 1+ years organizing large datasets. An Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred, as is prior value-based contracting experience.
