Wealthsimple, Canada's leading financial innovator serving 4+ million Canadians with $155B+ in assets under administration, is seeking an Associate Treasury Reporting & Analytics professional to join its Treasury team.
In this role, you will develop comprehensive financial analytics and reports to support regulatory compliance and strategic decision-making. You'll leverage internal systems and the Kyriba Treasury Management System to extract, analyze, and report on treasury data with accuracy and timeliness. Working across cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Finance, you'll design and build intuitive, data-driven dashboards that provide actionable insights for various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining multiple reporting deliverables with varying frequencies, managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring consistent quality standards
- Designing, building, and refining dashboards that translate complex treasury data into actionable insights
- Conducting in-depth SQL analysis to inform critical business decisions related to Treasury operations and strategy
- Supporting complex projects within Treasury Cash and Collateral Management, facilitating cross-team communication and problem-solving
- Identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting
- Translating business requirements into technical reporting solutions in collaboration with IT and data teams
- Managing the end-to-end report lifecycle from requirements gathering through delivery
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and has a builder mindset. You excel at problem-solving, dashboard creation, and communicating complex ideas clearly across all organizational levels. Experience in credit products, prepaid cards, or spend operations is a strong plus.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis or similar role
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Kyriba Treasury Management System
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Demonstrated success in Treasury and financial operations, banking and payments, or related operations roles
- Proven experience overseeing end-to-end report lifecycle management
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset
- Proactive, action-oriented approach with full ownership of work
- Preferred: Financial modeling, coding/automation, ability to contribute to data models, and experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Superset)
