Panthalassa is a renewable energy and ocean technology company developing devices that capture energy from the ocean's harshest conditions without human maintenance. The company is a public benefit corporation headquartered in Portland, Oregon, backed by leading venture capitalists, philanthropic investors, and university endowments.
As Associate, Strategy, you will work alongside the EVP, Strategy to support the company's capital formation, investor relations, partnerships, PR, and media efforts. This role combines executive and operational support with exposure to strategic deal-making and fundraising.
Key responsibilities include managing calendars and travel for the strategy team across multiple time zones and international itineraries that shift on short notice; planning investor and partner visits, conferences, and team gatherings from initial planning through follow-up; troubleshooting Mac and iOS devices, software, accounts, and connectivity, and setting up new tools and systems using AI; solving practical problems in real-time, especially when the team is traveling or hosting visitors; preparing background materials, confirming logistics, and maintaining records of decisions and next steps across strategy workstreams; and handling personal administrative needs for the EVP that affect the workday.
While much of the work will initially be administrative, it requires a firm understanding of the team's goals, plans, and challenges. You will have flexibility to manage your time around these demands.
