Moody's is seeking an Associate Strategist to support commercial strategy initiatives within the Insurance Business Unit. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and innovation, working with cross-functional teams including Product, Go-to-Market, Marketing, and Sales to drive data-driven decision-making and sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities include assisting senior strategists in conducting market research and prototype testing with customers and prospects to identify and validate new growth opportunities across customer, product, and market segments. You will develop detailed business cases with addressable market estimations and ARR projections for new initiatives, and help define and implement commercial strategies in coordination with internal departments. The role also involves supporting the definition of value propositions and high-level go-to-market plans based on market findings, while maintaining a thorough understanding of Moody's solutions and their competitive positioning.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and comfort working with data and analytics. You should have proven experience in Agile, fast-paced environments managing multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously. Proficiency with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI), Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CRM platforms (Salesforce) is required. Demonstrated experience with AI tools and concepts is essential, including hands-on implementation of AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges and awareness of AI risk management.
You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence interacting with stakeholders and senior business professionals, superior time management, and a self-starter mentality. A high-level understanding of the insurance and/or financial services sector is required. An undergraduate degree in a business-related field is mandatory.
