The Associate Scientist/Scientist I in Cell Analytical Product Sciences will support the development and execution of cell-based analytical methods for characterizing cell and gene therapy products throughout clinical development. Reporting to the Scientist III, this laboratory-based role combines routine analytical testing with collaborative method development and validation work.
Key responsibilities include executing cell-based assays to assess biological activity and cellular responses; maintaining mammalian cell cultures and preparing biological materials; developing and characterizing cellular clones and model systems; performing studies on viral vectors and viral-based products; analyzing experimental results and troubleshooting; supporting assay development, validation, and optimization; and collaborating cross-functionally to enhance analytical capabilities.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 2+ years relevant lab experience, or Master's degree with 6+ months hands-on lab experience in academia/industry. Must have hands-on mammalian cell culture expertise (aseptic technique, adherent and suspension lines), experience executing cell-based assays, working knowledge of viral vector biology and immunology, flow cytometry proficiency, strong documentation and attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot and communicate findings, and experience with data analysis software (GraphPad Prism, JMP, or similar).
Preferred: biotech industry experience. The role offers early-stage opportunity to contribute to cancer therapeutics while building technical expertise in cell analytics and product characterization.
