Salary: USD 85,000 - 97,000 / annual

Alamar Biosciences is seeking an Associate Scientist I to join the Technology Access Program (TAP) team supporting client-sponsored research projects. This is a hands-on laboratory role focused on executing multiplex assay workflows, next-generation sequencing (NGS) operations, and data quality review. Key responsibilities include executing multiplex assay workflows according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs), including sample preparation, assay setup, and laboratory instrumentation operation. You will support routine NGS workflows including library preparation, sequencing run preparation, and instrument configuration. The role involves data analysis and quality checks, reviewing sequencing QC metrics and experimental outcomes to ensure high-quality data generation. Additional duties include maintaining accurate experimental records and laboratory documentation for sample traceability, managing sample receiving, organization, inventory, and storage, and collaborating with TAP team members to coordinate laboratory activities and meet project timelines. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related scientific discipline, with 1+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in biotechnology, research, clinical, or similar environments. Strong attention to detail, ability to accurately execute multi-step procedures, interpret data, and perform routine troubleshooting are essential. Familiarity with sequencing and assay QC metrics is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments are required. Alamar develops innovative approaches to measure critical protein biomarkers from liquid samples enabling early disease detection through highly multiplexed, sensitive assays.
