Instacart is seeking an Associate Product Operations Manager to serve as the delivery layer of Product Operations. This is a rotation-based role where you will own workstreams end-to-end across three vertical pods (Consumer, Shopper, Enterprise), rotating every 6-12 months to build broad product sense.
Core responsibilities include:
- Own PCR (Product Change Request) intake and triage end-to-end, validating problem statements and ensuring clean handoffs to vertical pods
- Handle Tier 2 triage decisions that go beyond automated systems
- Write and maintain Product Enablement Packages (PEPs) using AI-assisted drafts as starting points while owning quality and stakeholder fit
- Drive launch readiness in assigned areas, coordinating with stakeholders to prevent surprises
- Compile customer signal and quality data into structured summaries for the Horizontal intelligence team
- Run PRDs through enablement processes and deliver results to Product Managers with clear framing
- Surface cross-domain insights to the Horizontal team—you're positioned to see patterns across pods
- Integrate AI tools into your workflow for triage, drafting, research, and onboarding (always editing before sharing)
- Build cross-domain product sense across rotations that prepares you for cluster ownership at senior levels
The role sits within the Enablement Team, a centralized pool deployed to highest-priority areas. Your manager oversees deployments and development; your pod partners are day-to-day collaborators; the Horizontal team provides infrastructure and systems support.
